What a Feijoa!

Today Daniel brought in a massive feijoa! We were thinking it could be a world record, but we need to do some research to see how close he was. Here is a link about some interesting feijoa facts .

Sumdog NZ Challenge - Room 13 9th!

Sumdog Challenge Blog Entry
By Winnie

Wow! What a great result! Out of 82 classes all over New Zealand, our class came 9th overall. We were versing colleges, intermediates and primary schools.1451 students played Sumdog for the maths competition.

Out of all the 1451 students that played,1 person in our class got into the top 10 which was Jae Won. He was 5th but actually 4th equal! 2 people in our class came in the top 50 ( Me and Jae Won ). 8 people in our class came in the top 100. It was also impressive that Marco answered 1000 questions in one day.

I was ranked 24th which meant I got into the top 50. My favourite game in Sumdog is probably Dance because it has music with the game. The most challenging game for me is Junk Pile because sometimes the items you place fall down. Next time I would try get into the top 10.

I think it is great Sumdog hosts these competitions because more people will play it and challenge themselves. I can’t wait for the next challenge!
